Wearing your heart on your sleeve

Most people think being vulnerable shows your lack of strength, but I disagree. I think being vulnerable shows that you're not afraid to wear your heart on your sleeve or to believe the good in people. It makes you brave and it also makes you wiser. You may feel like a fool now, but in the end you'll come out so much stronger and people will feel sorry for ever laughing at you or doubting you.

I know it's hard, but I've learned that the best way to treat others is with kindness and to not beat others down when they're at their lowest. Have heart. Have compassion. Have empathy. Have respect. Know that they're human, just like you. If you can't do that, then it's best for your sanity to cut ties or don't get involved.

So if you're at a dark point in your life, don't fight how you feel. Let yourself hurt until you can't anymore. Cry if you have to. Take some time to yourself if you have to. Eventually you'll wake up one day and realize that you've had enough and you'll gather your courage to turn over a new leaf. Once you've hit that point, you'll thank yourself for staying true to yourself.
